Upon your arrival at NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport (IXB), our tour representatives will welcome you and assist with your transfer to Gangtok (5500 feet / 1677 meters, 130 kilometers / 4 to 5 hours). Check into your hotel and enjoy an overnight stay.

Enjoy breakfast in the morning. Then, get ready for a trip to Tshangu Lake, located at an altitude of 12,400 feet (3,780 meters) and about 43 kilometers away, a 3-hour drive. The cool waters of the lake perfectly complement the stunning scenery around it. Return to Gangtok for an overnight stay at your hotel. Note: In case of a landslide or any other issue, Tshangu Lake may be closed. If that happens, we will arrange visits to other interesting places instead.

After breakfast in the morning, we will travel to Darjeeling, which is 7380 feet (2250 meters) high and approximately 115 kilometers away, taking around 5 to 6 hours. By noon, we will embark on a half-day sightseeing tour. Highlights include visits to the Peace Pagoda, Japanese Temple, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (closed on Thursdays), Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, Tenzing and Gombu Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Center (closed on Sundays), and a Tea Estate. We will stay overnight at the hotel.

In the early morning, head to Tiger Hills (8364 feet / 2550 meters) around 4 AM to catch the sunrise over Kanchendzonga Peak, weather permitting. Make sure to visit Ghoom Monastery and the Asia Loop along the way. After enjoying breakfast, proceed to NJP Railway Station or (IXB) Bagdogra Airport, which is about 100 kilometers away and a 3 to 4-hour drive, for your onward journey.
